We're shifting from a 2 bedroom in JLT to a villa in Arabian Ranches next month and I'm dreading the whole cardboard box situation after last time. Half of them collapsed, the tape gave up in the humidity and my books ended up scattered in the parking lot which was a nightmare. A colleague at work swears by
jumbo plastic crates for moving because you can stack them, they don't fall apart and you get your deposit back sort of thing since you can resell or keep them for storage afterwards. I checked crateco and the jumbo range looks solid but I'm wondering about practical stuff like how many I'd realistically need for a two bed flat and whether they fit in a normal sedan boot or if I need to rent a van. Also do the handles actually make them comfortable to carry when they're loaded with kitchen stuff because my back is not what it used to be. Anyone done a whole move with these and regretted it or was it actually the smartest decision you made that week?
